I know in my head I should be packing the car, making last minute arrangements and checking to be sure I haven’t forgotten anything. I am especially antsy to get going this year since last summer I spent here at home after breaking my leg in 3 places. But at least this year, I am healthy, and ready to go. So until September I need to keep the bags by the door and just chill, until its my time to leave for the Cape. Have a great August all, I will miss you, but I will be coming soon. .
Bank of America Earns $15 Billion, or $3.30 Per Share, in 2007
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bank of America Corporation today reported full-year 2007 net income declined 29 percent to $14.98 billion from $21.13 billion a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share fell 28 percent to $3.30 from $4.59 in 2006. In the fourth quarter of 2007 net income was $268 million, or $0.05 per diluted share, compared with $5.26 billion, or $1.16 a share, a year earlier. The quarter included results from LaSalle Bank, which Bank of America purchased on October 1. "Our fourth quarter results were severely impacted by ongoing dislocations in capital markets and the slowing economy," said Kenneth D. Lewis, chairman and chief executive officer. "Even given that environment, we certainly are not pleased with our performance.

McNally said he was not ready to comment on his staff plans for the district attorney's office. McNally will succeed Republican District Attorney Patricia DeAngelis, whose tenure as the county's top prosecutor has been marked by reversals on cases and chastisement by higher courts for courtroom antics and prosecutorial errors. McNally will be the first Democrat in 15 years to be district attorney. He is the first Democrat elected to the post since 1989 when now retired Supreme Court Justice James Canfield won election. .
The perfect storm could really blow
